UGANDA Cranes edged closer to qualifying from Group B after a goalless draw against Zimbabwe Warriors at Athlone Stadium on Thursday afternoon.
Uganda put up a below standard performance compared to their opening match against Burkina Faso but managed to secure a goalless draw to keep clean sheet and keep top of the group B pushing Zimbabwe to a must win situation in their last group stage match.
Cranes failed to test George Chigova in the Zimbabwe goal and had to rely on Benjamin Ochan who pulled off a couple of saves to keep 'The Warriors' at bay.
Cranes' best chance fell to Yunus Sentamu in the first half but he blazed his effort wide.
